V2.1 PCB and beyond supports the use of a radio module on the expansion port
You can use an HC05 Bluetooth module to view the ResQ status and current targets on your cell phone. This allows you to mount the ResQ unit to things like the exterior of an aircraft/helicopter while being able to monitor the status from the cockpit with only your cell phone. This eliminates the need of running wires and invasive installation on the aircraft.
The stock HC05 bluetooth module needs to be programmed via AT commands to work with ResQ (baud rate must be changed). I provide details how to do this in the user manual and Arduino code sketch. This module is provided for people who do not wish to program their own and is provided ready to go.
